A Hungry Folktale is a literary blog focused on living, writing, reading, eating, and gardening with a Christian heart. Posts share my daily devotions in growing stronger in God's Word, strengthening my relationship with God and walk with Jesus, along with chronicle my life as a writer, micro-farmer, homeschooling mother, and wife. It is my hope to share my path and lessons learned in growing in God, stewarding an organic garden, and nourishing body, mind, and spirit with whole, clean foods.
Kiandra Jimenez is a Christian poet/writer living in southern California with her husband, two kids, Daschund mix Taquito the dog, a guinea pig named Freddie, two parakeets, and many garden birds and lizards. She homeschools, teaches creative writing at UCR Extension, is Art Advisor of Lunch Ticket Literary Magazine, and a MFA graduate of Antioch University, Los Angeles in Fiction and Poetry. She can often be found writing poetry in her garden.
